New Colors - a learning and social support centre for underprivileged children from neighborhood

Started in 2002 in Edayanchavadi, a village in the Auroville area, New Colors is a learning and social support centre, providing free after-school programmes for underprivileged children.
As a grass roots organisation, it combines education, sustainable community development and individual empowerment. Volunteers are welcome to just come and be as they are, as just their communication with children will give them new perspectives about the future and the world. We value every person’s quality, personality and uniqueness within themselves. So, come and “just be”. Accommodation for volunteers is provided. Changing, adapting and evolving to meet the needs of the village community, New Colors is a different “color” every day.
