Interacting with UNESCO during the Mother's Years
by Paulette Hadnagy
In 1966 the Mother appointed Kailas Jhaveri to be the “Secretary-in-charge, UNESCO section”. The excerpts presented in this book, taken from her autobiography I am with you, shows how determined the Mother was in ensuring UNESCO’s support, while at the same time allowing no interference. Additionally, there are twenty-two pages of handwritten messages the Mother wrote to Kailas regarding her work for UNESCO. Twenty four pages of photographs of the pioneers’ life, to recreate the atmosphere of those heroic years, catching UNESCO’s attention. And eight pages of photographs of the Matrimandir, the soul of Auroville, today.
