Poet and Editor
Lloyd (Luit Hofman), an Aurovilian since 1988, quietly departed on 15th May 2010, at 4.15 pm at the Health Centre, at the age of 58.
About
Many of us will remember him from the Auroville library, and perhaps read some of his poems, collected in two books. He loved literature. Among other things he worked as an editor since he moved to Creativity in 2004, and in 2007 he compiled an extensive anthology of poems by devotees of Sri Aurobindo.
Unfortunately he was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of 2010, which he faced courageously and with acceptance when it became clear that it was terminal. His body was cremated on 20th April, at the Adventure burial grounds.
