Ingo
On Tuesday, November 23rd at around 11.30 in the morning, our good friend and brother Ingo Wey, Swiss national, passed away in Jipmer hospital where he had gone not feeling well. Cause of his death was internal bleeding due to a very advanced aplastic anaemic condition, with which he had been off and on coping for years. At the time of his passing, his friend and assistant Krishnamurti was at his side. Ingo had become just 58 years old this month.
Ingo, who had a master’s degree in psychology, joined Auroville in 2004. He started out in Certitude and was in the process of settling in Hope. After initially working with AquaDyn, he had been involved in his therapeutic Soma initiative, as well as in a great variety of projects, working groups and research pertaining to town planning, alternative energy and new farming techniques. Lately he also gave talks to visiting students in the framework of the University of Human Unity.
After staying in the Auroville Health Centre for a day, Ingo’s body was cremated at Adventure’s farewell grounds on Thursday 25th at 3.30 pm.
We salute this quite unusual man, who had chosen a difficult karma, which he bravely took in his stride.
