Joined Auroville with Mother's Blessings
It was with shock that the community heard of the sudden passing of our long-time friend and sister Aruna (Christiane Roc - Bailey, French). Aruna met with a traffic accident on East Coast Road on Wednesday, September 3rd, late afternoon. It is assumed that an internal bleeding caused her to leave her body in PIMS just before 7 pm the same day. She would have been 60 shortly.

May we all hold her in our prayers on her way to Mother for whom she came here so very long ago, in 1970.
Dear Aruna, we will miss your joy & colourful presence on our roads, in our schools and everywhere..
Our love and strength go out to Aruna's son Ritam and his young family.
