A Pioneering Aurovilian

Rosine Debode, a pioneer Aurovilian, passed into the Light on January 4, 2012 in Auroville. She returned home to Auroville only three months prior to complete her journey of 82 years. Rosine, who was originally from Belgium, lived for about five years in the mid seventies in Auroville. She built a permanent home in Certitude as part of an early group of houses designed by Piero and Gloria. It was after Rosine’s son visited Pondicherry and brought home a picture of the Mother that Rosine left everything to dedicate her life to Auroville and the vision of Sri Aurobindo and Mother.

On Monday, January 30th at around 11.30am long-term Aurovilian and brother D.Perumal peacefully passed away at the house of his daughter Jayagandhi at Kottakarai Farm due to heart failure, at the age of 87.

Managed CIC, Bharat Nivas

Our good friend and brother, Aurovilian P. Sundaram of Bharat Nivas left his body on January 28th at 8.30pm in Puducherry's EastCoast Hospital where he had been admitted on Jan 17th due to deterioration of his illness. Sundaram had been fighting kidney failure since many years, while also suffering from diabetes. He was just 45 years young.
