Staying connected digitally has become very important and to cater to the needs of those requiring internet connectivity, Cafes and other facilities are available within Auroville for use.
There are many cafes, and other places, in Auroville which offer free Wi-Fi or internet browsing facilities. Many guesthouses also offer Wi-Fi. Please find below a partial list of locations:

The Matrimandir and the Booking Link will remain CLOSED for visitors' meditation on Saturday, 17th January, 2026, on account of the Pongal Festival.
However, you are welcome to Auroville and to visit the Matrimandir Viewing Point which is a raised area offering a beautiful view of the Matrimandir and its surroundings. It is possible to sit there for a while and take photos of the Matrimandir. No pre-booking is required and it is open everyday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
