Ashramite 

Peter Steiger, father of Aurovilian Ange and known to those of us who have lived in the Ashram, left his body in the morning of 28th January, 2017, at around 9 am during a struggle with a roller wave in the sea near Pondy’s light house. He was 78 years old.

Mother of Bobby, Auromics

Dorothy Borbas, mother of Bobby of Auromics, left her body in the evening of January 31st at 6.30 pm peacefully at her home in Isai Ambalam in the presence of her husband. She was 92. The pair had been living with us since 2013.

Mother of Isha (Service Link)

Chandra, a long-term friend of Auroville and mother of Isha of ServiceLink, peacefully left her body on Wednesday 1st February evening in Ojai, California, only a few months after being diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma. She thought to return again to Auroville for a last visit with friends and family living here, though finally there wasn't time. She was almost 80 years old.
