Peter Steiger

Peter Steiger, father of Aurovilian Ange and known to those of us who have lived in the Ashram, left his body in the morning of 28th January, 2017, at around 9 am during a struggle with a roller wave in the sea near Pondy’s light house. He was 78 years old.
About
Hailing from Switzerland, Peter lived and worked the last 54 years of his life in the Ashram.
His body could be visited for a last farewell in his Ashram ‘Bethel’ house at the Boulevard. In the afternoon of Sunday, 29th January, Peter's remains were cremated at the Ashram cremation grounds in Karuvadikuppam.
Our warmest condolences, strength and love go out to Ange and Paul and their close friends who stood by them in this traumatic moment.
