Linea Dental Clinic can offer to patients dental treatment of all kinds from scaling, filling, metal crown & bridges and metal-free with zirconia and ceramics, mouth surgery and implants, single or full mouth ( see All-on-Four). We use good international products. We are using good disinfection and sterilisation protocols, intraoral digital X-ray, intraoral camera. Our team of specialists are well-established practitioners.

Linea dental laboratory realises in house all kinds of prosthetic work; crown & bridge, denture, night guard, etc. Recently we invested in digital technology, with a CAD system, 3D printing and milling in order to provide better and faster services. 

We provide support for Auroville Dental Centre and other dentists.

Also, we conduct training programmes for dentists and technicians. 

Our services are directed primarily towards Aurovilians and guests of Auroville, but also to any patient who requests them. Aurovillans are major patients almost 90% along with other people like volunteers, visitors and friends of Auroville. 

Linea Dental approach differs because we help patients to deal with the pain or the lost function and aesthetics by giving enough time to the patient at all stages of the treatment. Appointments are given and organised reducing waiting time. Also, by providing qualitative and high-efficient treatment by using the best consumables and instruments at minimum cost. Communication and behaviour from the whole team are focusing on delivering good quality service and not “quantitative”, so we can give proper attention to all patients. Not least, it is important to appreciate the close collaboration between dentist and technician and the close proximity of the clinic and laboratory in the same facility in Aurelec.

Initially, in 1991, Nicola holding a dental technician degree from Italy, started Auroville's first dental laboratory as part of the Auroville Dental Centre. In 1998, he founded Linea Laboratory which not only supported Auroville Dental Centre but also outside dental clinics. In 2014 with the help of Tatiana, who had been practising as a dentist in St. Petersburg for the last 20 years, Nicola extended to Linea Dental clinic. This is how since 2014 Linea Dental came into existence. Soon later they could cross break even by serving 300 patients from Auroville. In 2017 Tatiana left to start her own clinic and Linea Dental continues with the support of visiting specialists to improve its new dental chair and expand the treatments in particular implants.

While collaborating with many dentists, Nicola felt the need for a clinic where patients get a friendly environment. This thought materialised in 2014 when he prepared a room with a dental chair. Today all the treatments are followed by his main specialist Dr Sivaprasad with the help of Mira the assistant, whereas Nicola focuses on prosthetic works, management and quality control.

To cover the whole spectrum of dental services Linea has the support of different specialist consultants. While comparing the dental service of Linea with outside clinics Nicola says:

"Why go outside if the same quality can now be offered inside Auroville?"

Linea's rates are competitive, on average less of those charged in high-end dentistry clinics.
