Arrived in Auroville in 1990

Thursday April 17th in the morning, our Aurovilian brother Jean-Marc Gardelle, Matthieu's father and former companion of Monique from Dana, left his body in France.

About

Jean-Marc arrived in Auroville in 1990 with his family and spent many years opening his soul to Mother and Sri Aurobindo.

The aims of Auroville never left him and during the last hard years of his life, helped him to keep trusting and growing.

We are sure that the Love he received from Auroville and from his old friends help him on his journey.

Caretaker of Needam Guest House

Rakesh, who joined Auroville in 2002 and worked in different capacities at various places in Auroville till 2008, passed away on July 17th due to a heart related medical condition. He was 40 years old.

Around midnight of January 20th, our friend and brother Joachim Kochenburger (German national), left his body in the house of a good friend in Bommapalayam. He may have suffered a sudden stroke as he had not appeared to be ailing and seemed in good health; he was 71 years old.

June Maher, founder of the Auroville Association/Auroville International USA, passed away on Friday April 25th in the Watsonville, CA hospital.
