Eluciole Circus School
Auroville is a place where children and adults can learn and explore all sorts of ways and forms, in their search to live and express their inner potential through the arts. The circus school allows them to embark on this magical journey of transformation on the physical, creative, and artistic levels.
Eluciole Circus School in the Miracle community offers circus performance training, aerial yoga, silk trapeze, gymnastics, acrobatics, theatre, dance, acroyoga, balance and concentration work, coordination, juggling and more. Groups of children from Auroville schools including Kindergarten, Nandanam, Deepanam School, Transition School, and Last School come for classes regularly. The schedule for the schools is organized before the start of the school year, and activities take place throughout the year.
Other classes are offered for children and young adults aged 5 to 15 throughout the week. Some workshops are also organized for children and adults over the year.
Through their activities with Eluciole Circus, the children develop control and discipline of the functioning of the body, toward an integral, methodical and harmonious development of all the parts and movements of the body. They also develop the power of concentration and the capacity of attention along with beautiful qualities of confidence and trust.
