Auroville Green Practices
At Auroville green practices we aim at making the world a greener place. A unit under the Auroville foundation we aim to spread the message and actions to be more mindful and sustainable.
The main principle of Auroville Green Practices since our inception has been to embody sustainability and lead the present world towards it. Our founders have put their heart and soul into grooming this education wing that aims to inspire and pave the way towards a sustainable future. As we seem to be parting ways with nature, it is important to revive our relationship with Mother Earth. We are here to expedite this beautiful journey through interactive workshops, webinars and insightful programs. Bringing to you various approaches to envision a future habitat that is ecologically, socially and economically nurturing. Our home is Auroville, located in the Southern region of India, which is a thriving hub for sustainable living solutions.
Solitude Farm WorkshopsExplore Your Relationship With Mother NatureSolitude Farm follows Fukuoka’s permaculture and natural farming techniques. Fukuoka advocated that all the bio-resources around us, such as leaves, weeds, branches, etc., should constantly be returned to the soil to increase soil fertility. No pesticides or fertilizers have ever been used on the land. We practice non-tillage and no machines or tractors are used. Every part of this land is honored and respected.Solitude Farm is a true example of Masanobu Fukuoka’s philosophy in practice – a road back to nature through eating local food. We welcome you to come and explore your relationship with Mother Nature at Solitude Farm and be part of the change.
