On Saturday December 2nd ’06, in the early morning hours, our good friend and brother Suresh Joshi, who came originally from the Ashram and lived the last twelve years in Auroville, peacefully left his body in his house in New Creation after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 75 years old.

About

To those of us who are here from the very early years, Suresh was affectionately known as the 'Divine Messenger' since it was he who oftentimes delivered the hand-written messages from Mother to those addressed. It seems befitting that Suresh left his body during the time that the first lights were lit for the yearly Deepam Festival.

Suresh's body has been at rest in the Auroville Health Centre during the subsequent week for Aurovilians to pay their last respect. The burial in the Adventure burial ground is planned for Saturday December 9th.

We reach out to Dorothee in this moment of transition, - while a messenger returns to his Source.
