Seyril Schochen

On Tuesday December 12th, Seyril Schochen of the Sri Aurobindo Learning Centre in Bacca Grande, Colorado, peacefully passed away. She was over 90 years old.

About

Seyril, a poet, playwright, actress, and a remarkable, radiant personality, was profoundly devoted to Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and dedicated her entire life to making their vision and message available to the world. She was a true and staunch warrior for the Cause..

In the eighties and nineties, Seyril regularly visited Auroville, where she lived in the Matrimandir Camp and worked on the structure.

Seyril will always remain registered, and gratefully remembered, in Auroville’s memory banks.

In true mourning we inform the community that this morning, Thursday March 2nd, our good friend and dear dear sister Jossy passed away in the Auroville Health Centre at 4.30 am. She was, and has been throughout the process, closely surrounded by her family.

This is to inform the community that long-time Aurovilian and old friend, Raymond Thépot, has left his body this morning, Wednesday March 15th, at 07.45 am in his house in Fraternity, in the presence of his daughter who had arrived from France just in time. Raymond was 71 years old.
