I am a long-term Aurovilian dedicated to education, sports, youth development, and environmental conservation. My work over the past three decades has focused on building strong connections between Auroville and neighboring villages through inclusive community-based programs.

My Journey of Service Through Education, Sports, and Nature

I have been actively involved in Auroville for over 32 years, contributing to education, sports, youth development, and environmental awareness across Auroville and the surrounding villages.

From 1993 to 2012, I worked as a Social Science teacher at Isai Ambalam School, Udavi School, and Ness School. During the same period, I also served as a Sports Teacher in the evenings at Dehashakti and New Creation Sports Programs, supporting physical education and youth engagement.

Current Roles and Activities

  • Presently working in office management at AVSRC.
  • Sports teaching and training for youth in Auroville and 10 neighboring villages.
  • Project involvement with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Mission, organizing sports-based youth clean-up activities in the Auroville region.
  • Conducting annual Yoga Asana programs.
  • Organizing and conducting Auroville Physical Education Teacher Training Programs.
  • Organizing annual volleyball tournaments and athletic sports events, fostering strong relationships between Auroville and village sports clubs.
  • Leading World Wetlands Day awareness programs, including educational trips for local youth to promote lake and wetland conservation.
  • Currently engaged in a bird survey and research study, with the aim of creating a small bird sanctuary in Auroville and conserving local bird life.

Through sports, education, and environmental initiatives, my work supports youth empowerment, community well-being, and ecological awareness in and around Auroville.
