Nisha
In the early morning of Monday, 29th January, our dear, young sister, Aurovilian Nisha (K.Nishanthi), who worked as a nurse in Santé, left her body after a prolonged illness in Nallam Clinic. Her husband Raj and other family members were with her. She was only 29.
Hailing from Chidambaram, Nisha came to work as a qualified nurse in PIMS where she met Raj, who works as sysop in the Auroville Language Lab, and later married him. She joined Auroville in 2013 and the couple lived in Inspiration. Being highly qualified in her profession, it was but natural that she came to work in Santé. Colleagues and friends describe her as an intelligent, very sweet and welcoming person who will be deeply missed.
Nisha’s remains were brought to the Crown Road Farewell Centre for a last viewing, and were buried in the afternoon of the same day in Auroville’s burial grounds with members of her family and many friends bidding her a fond farewell.
