Kokilaben
In the early morning of February 21st, Mother's birthday anniversary, our dear friend and sister Kokilaben Mehta left her body in her house in Mumbai, to join her husband Vasanthlalbhai who passed away last year August. She had been unwell for some time and was 82 years old.
Many of us know both Kokilaben and Vasanthlalbhai as they have been frequent visitors to Auroville for decades, generously supporting not only Matrimandir, but also various services, schools and other projects. Their absolute dedication to Mother and their very friendly and caring interest in Auroville's faring -they absolutely loved children..-, made them esteemed and beloved presences throughout the years.
Knowing that they are now together again, and in very good hands, Auroville will always remember them with gratitude and love. Our heartfelt strength and sympathy goes out to the members of their large family who will sorely miss them.
