Abha Prakash’s father, Dr Ishwar Prakash Dr Ishwar Prakash Gupta, died of a sudden cardiac arrest in the evening of 29th May in his daughter’s Utility house. He was 85.

A retired university professor, Dr I. P Gupta, relocated from Delhi to Auroville in 2017, to spend his final days in the company of his youngest daughter, and grandsons Aditya and Akshay.
He will be missed by all who knew him as a warm-hearted idealist who encouraged everyone to follow their inner guide.
Dr Gupta's remains were cremated at Auroville's mandappam onThursday 31st May afternoon at 5 pm.
His wife, Dr Sudha Prakash, Mother of Abha, continues to reside in Utility.
