Gerard Cornec

Joined Auroville in 1982

Gerard Cornec, brother of the late Gilbert Cornec, passed away in France on Wednesday, May 18th. Gerard joined Auroville in January 1982 and lived most of the time in Svedame; he would have been 50 in September 2006.

Cornec's daughter Shandra wrote in a note to all his friends that "he came back to France 4 years ago and was fighting against lung cancer since. He left peacefully... "

We think back with warmth to this quiet friend and brother, and send our love and sympathy to his daughters Shandra and Aurore.

In the morning of Thursday, March 2nd, our good friend and dear dear sister Jossy passed away in the Auroville Health Centre at 4.30 am. She was, and had been throughout the process, closely surrounded by her family.

Long-term Aurovilian and old friend, Raymond Thépot, left his body in the morning of Wednesday March 15th, at 07.45 am in his house in Fraternity, in the presence of his daughter who had arrived from France just in time. Raymond was 71 years old.
