Remembered with Gratitude and Love

In the early morning of February 21st, Mother's birth anniversary, our dear friend and sister Kokilaben Mehta left her body in her house in Mumbai, to join her husband Vasanthlalbhai who passed away in August, 2012. She had been unwell for some time and was 82 years old.

Early morning of Friday, 6th September, William T. Netter, one of Auroville’s more eccentric pioneers hailing from Boston, USA, quietly left his body in his ‘trilon’ house at Samasti. After a fall in 2010 his health had generally deteriorated and during the final three years he had been gradually withdrawing from life. He would have been 87 at the end of 2013.

Our friend and brother, Aurovilian Joshi (Jehoshua Friedlander, German nationality) peacefully passed away on Monday, September 16th, in the home of close relatives in Germany, thereby liberating himself from a long-drawn-out struggle with cancer. His wife Anando and daughter Bettina were present with him. He had just turned 74.
