Auroville Dog Shelter is dedicated to compassionate care, health, and long-term wellbeing of dogs in Auroville and the surrounding bioregion. Building on our history of sheltering, feeding, medical care, sterilisation, vaccination and adoption efforts, we are now evolving into a sustainable animal welfare ecosystem that reflects Auroville’s ethos of unity, harmony, and conscious service.
To create a model of humane, sustainable dog care that:

What We Do
Shelter & Daily Care
We provide shelter, nutritious food and daily support for dogs in our care.
Medical Care & Treatment
From wound care and disease treatment to long-term medications, we ensure comprehensive clinical support.
Sterilisation & Veterinary Campaigns
Working with veterinarians and partners, we implement humane sterilisation and preventive care.
Adoption Services
We facilitate responsible adoption pathways for new families.
Community Engagement & Education
We organise awareness programmes on responsible pet care, public safety, and animal wellbeing.
