Nick

Social Entrepreneur

Aurovilian friend and brother, Australian Nick Klotz, living in Maitreye, left his body early morning of Sunday September 25th, in PIMS due to several complications following a motorbike accident in late July, 2016. He was 63 years old.

About

Born and raised in the U.K., Nick had been in touch with Auroville since the previous ten years and officially joined in 2014. Functioning as an experienced and well connected social entrepreneur and mentor, he was involved in various innovative and eco-friendly projects in Auroville such as EcoFemme, MediClown Academy, the Bamboo Research Centre and the Sustainable Livelihood Institute (SLI) since its beginning in 2015.

During his medical journey from JIPMER, back to Auroville and then PIMS, he remained upbeat and many friends stood by him. Our love and sympathy go out to his daughter, grandchild and ex-wife in Melbourne, and his mother in UK. Nick’s body was taken to the Farewell Centre on the Crown Road. The cremation took place shortly thereafter.
