Homeopathic Therapist at Pitanga

Aurovilian Marika (Maria Ludovica Clerici Bagozzi) of Samasti community passed away in the evening of June 30th, just after 7 pm. She was 79 years old and had been unwell for some time.

About

Many of us will have known Marika as a very loving person who practised homeopathy for years from Pitanga and her home.

Marika’s body remained for several days at Farewell where friends could bid her farewell. The funeral took place at Adventure’s burial grounds in the afternoon of Wednesday 6th July.

Marika left her large home in Samasti to the Auroville Health Services who transformed it into ‘Marika Home’, where Auroville seniors can find a safe refuge in the later stage of their life.

On Saturday 2nd January, noontime, our friend and brother Aurovilian Georges Blanchet left his body in PIMS hospital at the age of 65 due to a general systems collapse originally caused by a possibly long festering infection in the lungs. On 29th February, Roy (Alistair Wicks) of New Creation passed away due to kidney failure in his UK home in the presence of his daughter and son. He was 92 years old.
