Julietta Kühle
Julietta Kühle, originally from Germany, translates a deep foundation in music into the tactile and visual language of ceramics. Following an immersive apprenticeship at Golden Bridge Pottery in Pondicherry, her work shifted from traditional forms to experimental surface design.
Julietta is primarily known for her iconographic image transfers on clay. Working with a witty and often irreverent lens, she remixes iconic figures—from music legends and comic characters to gods and gurus—onto ceramic surfaces. She deliberately embraces blurriness and cracks as essential elements, believing they reflect life's own imperfections. This process is a quest for harmony, reflecting her conviction that "all art is the same: the never-ending search for the divine truth."
Whether through sound, sculpture or expressing herself as a writer, Julietta is a vital part of the Auroville artist community.
