Integral Health - providing classical homeopathy and support to pregnant woman and children
Integral Health is a health clinic run by Sigrid Lindemann in the center of Auroville. We offer classical homeopathy and other modalities of holistic treatment. The team consists of Malar (homeopathic first aid in Tamil and office) and Sigrid (homeopathy and transpersonal regression therapy, plus focus on child development, women's health, psychiatric issues ). Languages spoken are English, German, French and Tamil.
Practicalities
Integral Health is situated in Prayatna community the central building, first floor. Prayatna is a small community near the big Water tank in the residential area of Auroville.
Consultations
An initial consultation takes about 2 hours, followed by 15 min follow-ups thereafter.
Consultations are held in English and German, and in French and Tamil as well by Sigrid.

What is homoeopathy?
Homeopathic remedies are made out of natural substances – mineral, animal, plants and others - and are diluted and potentised so to work exclusively on the energetic level. The remedies are very potent as to bring about relief in smallest doses and they can be harmful, if misused. This healing modality based on the vitalistic approach was developed by Hahnemann 200 years ago.
Health and Homoeopathy
“In the healthy condition of man, the spiritual vital force (autocracy), the dynamis that animates the material body (organism), rules with unbounded sway, and retains all the parts of the organism in admirable, harmonious, vital operation, as regards both sensations and functions, so that our indwelling, reason-gifted mind can freely employ this living, healthy instrument for the higher purpose of our existence.” - Hahnemann, Organon, aphorism 9
For a classical homeopath (homeopath uniciste) symptoms – headache, fever, etc. are mere indications that the internal harmony of body and mind is altered. Of the symptoms developed a few are common – this is the medical diagnosis of the disease, e.g, asthma, arthritis, pertussis etc. The remaining symptoms are particular to the individual patient. It is with these that the homeopath determines the adequate remedy. Each case taking again demands the homeopath's skill to perceive the unique features of the patient to set his disease apart from a hundred cases suffering from exactly the same diagnosis.
Treatment
The first session: The technique of selecting the appropriate remedy become a highly evolved procedure: Whatever you experience and feel in regard to your complaints is listened to, and you are encouraged to describe this in depth. The first consultation generally takes two hours. The work of the homoeopath is to perceive, not to analyze or judge. Whatever comes - particularly strange, rare and peculiar sensations or symptoms - will help the homoeopath to perceive the individual experience more distinctly and to identify a Simillimum – a well selected deep acting homoeopathic remedy.
Thereafter:In due course you will then receive your remedy - either two pills to be taken once only, or drops to be repeated as prescribed. You are then asked to observe whatever changes occur in body and mind, dreams, mood, energy and of course changes in regard to the main complaint. A first short follow up of 15 minutes will usually take place 10 days after taking the remedy. Thereafter the development of your health will be monitored regularly for the next months.

Background
Sigrid holds a German certification as “healing practitioner” (Heilpraktikerin . She is a senior faculty and homeopathic practitioner with 30 years experience. She trained with the renowned “Bombay School” with Dr. Rajan Sankaran for over 15 years and is teaching homeopaths in Germany since 2003. Homeopathy as holistic healing in the context of Auroville
Especially since practicing with the new “Sensation method” in homeopathy, our work is based directly on the yoga and philosophy of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo.

Sri Aurobindo speaks of gradations of consciousness in Matter in several chapters in “Life Divine”. This could refer to the process of dilution and potentisation which opens the substance to the different level, including emotions, dreams etc.
