Early Pioneer

Early morning on Tuesday, March 22nd, our dear friend and brother, Gerhard Stettner, passed away peacefully in his house in Arya due to heart failure. He was 56 years old.

About

Many of us remember Gerhard as an early pioneer from Germany, a very unusual and lovable man with remarkable depth, and a bouncing sense of optimism and creativity. And yes, he was a first class GO player.

Auroville lets go of him in good faith, knowing that his inner connection guides him. Our love and support also go out to his sons Shastri and Suryan, and to Miki and Bobby, Nellie and Isaac and others close to him.

Gerhard's body was cremated in Adventure on Friday morning, March 25th at 7 am.
