Rosa Maria
After suffering from cancer (a very cruel disease) for a long time, Rosa left her body on the 1st of October, the auspicious day of Durga Puja, at 9.30 am. She was a very introverted person; not many people knew her well, but whoever came in contact with her felt her love, tenderness and true devotion for the Mother. After 25 years of being with her, I felt she ended up more Indian than I.
Recollection from Babu in his own words...
"In the last two months she told me how to live in peace and ananda without her physical presence, in spite of her fragile health and pain. During the last one and a half months, she did not take any food except one litre of infusion with medicine every day. In the end she could hardly speak.
She kept a letter for me to read after her departure, which I would like to share with you all...
Dear Babu,
When you read these lines I am no more in that body. You burn this body and give the ash to the sea. Do it in a simple way as it is done in the Ashram, and remember that it is only an empty body. I am somewhere else, I am not dead. Don't grieve for me, but make my journey in peace. Do not hold me back.
Love, Rosa
I would like to convey my love and gratitude to a very special person, Albert from the AV Health Centre, who took so much care of Rosa in the end, in a very meticulous, competent and professional way, and with such unimaginable tenderness and affection.
Rosa told me, “If you do not know what to do the very moment I leave, simply remain quiet… and with everybody’s love and prayer my soul will go to the higher plane.”
Narayan Hari Om
Jai Ma"
