Presence

PRESENCE is a series of paintings and collages made by Jyoti Khare around some pieces of the Mother’s sarees. The release of the book corresponded to the opening of the exhibition of those art pieces in Auroville.

As the artist says, “Each painting was built around a certain emotion. Sometimes it would be an experience of power or energy; sometimes I felt a great softness and transparency and beauty; at other times I sensed something extremely subtle and layered, all around me, like worlds behind worlds."

The result is an enchantment for the eyes and a profoundly refreshing delight for the heart.
