Foundations of Specialty Coffee - This comprehensive course explores the fascinating world of specialty coffee from its ancient origins to modern craft techniques. Students gain the knowledge and skills to understand and appreciate high-quality coffee throughout its entire lifecycle—from cultivation to consumption.
Molecular Coffee: A Master Class - This course is designed for coffee planters committed to producing exceptional coffees through a deeper understanding of post-harvest processing. Tracing the coffee's transformation from freshly harvested cherries through molecular fermentation processes to final drying preparations, this course delivers crucial insights that help producers refine quality and explore untapped potential in coffee production. Introduction to Indian Coffee - India holds a unique position, with a rich history of coffee cultivation and a strong, deeply rooted culture of domestic consumption. This course examines India's unique position in the worldwide coffee community, highlighting botanical adaptation and historical colonial factors. Additionally, it explores how indigenous innovation continues to shape Indian coffee while preserving connections to its cultural roots.
The Foundation of Roasting - This course introduces the fundamental principles of roasting. Tailored for beginners with a foundational understanding of specialty coffee who are eager to develop their skills through focused practice. For a week the instructors will bridge theory and practice to build a solid foundation in roasting science, technique, and sensory exercises.
Coffee Cupping Session: Open to beginners, coffee cupping is designed to evaluate high-quality coffees by assessing key sensory attributes through a structured tasting framework. Participants will engage in sensory games to build confidence and develop the skills to articulate coffee’s complex characteristics.
Manual Brewing Workshop - Led by SCA certified baristas, this workshop is a hands-on and theoretical exploration of brewing coffee without espresso machines. Focusing on slow brewing techniques that highlight the best characteristics in every cup, participants will understand and control key parameters which can affect the taste of their cup.
Barista Essentials Workshop - This session is perfect for aspiring baristas, coffee enthusiasts, or anyone looking to deepen their espresso and milk based recipe knowledge. Through guided practice, participants will learn essential techniques, from dialing in espresso shots to crafting classic espresso-based beverages and mastering milk frothing for latte art. This course provides the key skills needed to create high-quality brews with confidence.
Fermentation Workshops - Ideal for those eager to explore home fermentation, this workshop covers microbial activity, safety protocols, and fermentation’s role in flavor development. Crop to Cup Workshop - Offers a firsthand exploration of coffee plantations in India. Allowing participants to trace coffee's origins firsthand while building meaningful connections with the farmers whose expertise and care shape every bean's potential. The programme highlights key aspects: harvest and post quality harvest, fair trade, traceability, transparency, market trends and sustainability. Providing valuable insights into the entire coffee cycle — from sourcing beans to brewing the perfect cup.
