Born in Chennai, India in 1985.

She first came to Auroville in 2006 as an Intern Architect to work under the guidance of Andre Hababou in Auromodele Atelier Architects.

In 2008, while preparing her thesis on “Sustainable Co-housing communities”, she worked in Auromodele Atelier Architects where she became partner in 2009 with Andre Hababou and Bertrand Desalle.

In 2011, Bertrand and Sindhuja formed Creation Architecture Studio.
Her main professional interest revolves around research for a more conscious architecture.
“My formative years were with architect Andre Hababou. With him I learnt spatial expression using solid and void, working with Ferrocement to express free flowing forms, and to be the sculptor-architect that believes that function follows form.
With architect Bertrand, with whom I continue to work, I have learnt that architecture, no doubt a creative profession in which one expresses one’s artistic capabilities, is also a technician’s paradise. The call of duty of an architect does not cease at the creation of a sculpture in space, but in fact, continues until the last little screw has been detailed and thought out, which will make the space that unique environment that we want it to be. Form and function, therefore, follow each other around until the perfect balance and harmony of the two becomes magic.
In Creation Architecture Studio, our objective is this: beauty, a constant aim toward perfection, and to understand that the love that one has for one’s work is the greatest tool to accomplish this.”
